ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the health education effect of a self-made health education video for patients with hepatic carcinoma who are receiving transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE)therapy. Methods Based on the needs of patients,a TACE health education video was designed and produced, which was input into the tablet personal computer, such as iPad,to let patients watch.A total of 451 patients with liver cancer, who were admitted to the Department of Intervention,First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Technology and Science,China,to receive TACE during the period from June 2014 to June 2016,were included in this study.By using the random number table method, the patients were divided into the observation group (n=226) and the control group (n=225).The self-made health education video together with regular education was used to educate the patients of the observation group, while routine oral and written education was executed for the patients of the control group. The cognition to TACE-related knowledge, the compliance with postoperative treatment and nursing, and the patient's satisfaction were assessed and the results were compared between the two groups. Results The cognition in the following three aspects, including TACE-related knowledge, perioperative education and discharge education,in the patients of the observation group was significantly higher than that in the patients of the control group (P<0.05).The compliance with postoperative treatment and nursing in the patients of the observation group was remarkably higher than that in the patients of the control group (P<0.01).The patient's satisfaction in the patients of the observation group was strikingly higher than that in the patients of the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion Health education by using a self-made health education video can improve liver cancer patient's cognition to TACE as well as the patient's compliance with postoperative treatment and nursing. The health education in the form of watching video can significantly improve health education effect and the satisfaction of the patients. Thus,it is worthy of clinical application.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore scrambled biological motion perception in Parkinson’s disease (PD). Meth?ods Thirty individuals with idiopathic PD and matched health controls (HCs) underwent discrimination task. The severi?ty of disease was assessed based on the Hohen and Yahr scale. Results Compared with“PSE=0”,there was a significant negative PSE (the point of subjective equality) (-0.15 ± 0.18) for HCs ( t=4.56, P<0.001), suggesting a temporal dilation effect of the upright scrambled biological motion sequences in HCs. There was a significant difference in the PSE be?tween PD patients(t=3.72,P<0.001) and HCs. Patients in the PD group were then divided into two subgroups accord?ing to their status of disease. There were significant differences in PSE between early-stage PD patients (stage 1-2) (0.02±0.26) and HCs (P<0.01), and between mid-stage PD patients (stage 2.5-3) (0.06±0.12) and HCs (P<0.01). There was no significant difference in PSE between early-stage and mid-stage PD patients (P=0.61). Conclusion The present study suggests that there is a scrambled biological motion perception impairment in PD at the very early stage, which might be attributed to the dysfunction of the prefrontal lobe.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the biological motion perception in Parkinson's disease (PD).Methods 45 individuals with idiopathic PD were compared with 45 matched healthy controls (HCs) using a duration discrimination task. Results The point of subjective equality(PSE) was negative value (-0.27±0.17) for health controls (HCs),and there was significant difference compared with PSE =0 by one sample t test (t=10.96,P< 0.01).Compared with HCs,the PSE for PD patients (-0.14±0.30) significantly decreased (t=2.63,P=0.01).When further dividing PD into early stages (stage 1-2) and late stages (stage 3-4),significant difference was found between late-stage PD patients(0.02±0.39)and HCs (t=4.07,P=0.008),but not between early-stage PD patients (-0.24±0.14) and HCs (t=0.84,P=0.405).Conclusion There is biological motion perception disorder in PD patients and it is related to the severity of PD.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To explore the value of high frequency echocardiography to evaluate cardiac structure and function of rat with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods The rat AMI model was established by ligating the proximal left anterior descending coronary artery. The cardiac structure and function of model rats were examined with high frequency echocardiography in the 2nd and 8th week after ligation successfully. Another 20 healthy rat were selected as the sham operative group. Results The survival rat is 82.0% beyond 24 hours. At 2nd week, the model animals had an increased end-diastolic diameter (EDD), end-systolic diameter (ESD), end-diastolic volume (EDV), and further end-systolic volume (ESD), compared with the sham operative group. Ejection fraction (EF) and fraction shortening (FS) of model rats decreased. The ratio of E/A was higher. At 8th week, these parameters deteriorated left atrial diameter (LA) increased ( P<0.05). EF and FS were relevant to dp/dtmax.Conclusion High frequency echocardiography can evaluate left ventricle remodeling of rat dynamically.

ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the security of negative HBsAg blood by correlation analysis between 5 markers of hepatitis B and HBV-DNA among blood donors with HBsAg negative. Methods 5 markers of hepatitis B were detected by ELISA and HBV-DNA by real-time PCR.Results In 3 398 samples of negative HBsAg blood donors, the total positive rate of HBV-DNA was 2.73%.Among them, the type series of HBsAb(+),HBcAb(+)account 6.59%,the positive rate of HBV-DNA was 5.80%;the type series of HBsAb(+),HBeAb(+),HBcAb(+)account 4.74%,the positive rate of HBV-DNA was 6.83%;the type series of HBcAb(+)alone account 6.24%,the positive rate of HBV-DNA was 5.19%;the type series of HBeAb(+),HBcAb(+)account 5.86%,the positive rate of HBV-DNA was 4.52%;the type series of HBsAb(+)alone account 31.99%,the positive rate of HBV-DNA was 1.56%;the type series of entire negative results account 44.59%,the positive rate of HBV-DNA was 2.11%.Conclusions Blood donors with negative HBsAg still have the risk of infecting HBV,especially when HBcAb is positive alone,or combining with other positive markers such as HBsAb,HBeAb,latent transfusion'infection, the risk was remarkably increased. As a result,we should detect the other markers of hepatitis B simultaneously and carry out real-time PCR technique to screen blood in order to reduce infection rate arising from transfusion.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the causing factors of radiocontrast-induced nephropathy (RCIN) after coronary angiography and the rule of hydratation. Methods 279 cases of coronary angiography were retrospectively analyzed, and the clinical features, basic renal function and volume of intra-venous fluid received on operation day between the patients with and without RCIN were compared. Results The total mortality rates of radiocontrast-induced nephropathy were 6.81%(19/279);in patients with hypertension, the RCIN rates were 8.65%(16/185);in patients with diabetic, the RCIN rates were 12.1%(12/99);in patients with preexisting renal dysfunction, the RCIN rate was 0%(0/16);the multifactor Logistic analysis showed that the factors causing RCIN were age, diabetic, the volume of intra-venous fluid, however, the factors such as gender, smoking, hypertension, coronary heart disease, chronic renal failure were irrelative with RCIN.Conclusion The incidence of RCIN in people over 60 years old is much higher.Such condition may be partly cansed by the decreasing renal reserve capacity.Sufficient hydration is an effective way to decrease RCIN.
